Apparently, the inside gallery on the courtyard of the gothic house has been rebuilt during the 17th century.

Here is the entrance of a gothic mansion, on Chenoise Street. It's been build on the Middle-Ages. Once you're inside this little allez, you feel very far from the city around. It's just so quiet!

This is a photo from an old band from Grenoble. They were called Insight MHC but unfortunatly, they've decided to stop playing music together about one year ago.
But there is a particular reason for me posting this picture now... tada ! My brand new music photography website is now up and running. Have a look at it if you dare! It's here : Nevermind The Name!

Boys don't cry. Apparently, the Cure inspired some people... well, I'm not really sure that this is a success!

It's just by the old court of justice.
Well, I've never been there so I can't tell you much about this restaurant.
PS : look carefully and you'll see a pigeon!

Night out.

One oy my favourite cinemas in Grenoble : Le Club. It's a small and friendly cinema where you can see movies in orginal version. It is located rue du Phalanstère. For those who are curious, the movie I went to see was "A Very British gangster" (documentary about Dominic Noonan, famous gangster from Manchester, UK). Excellent movie.

Yes, great news for me my friends: free parking from August 6 to August 18! That's not a long period of time but that's better than nothing as it's really expensive to park your car in Grenoble! But I guess it's the same everywhere...

PS : some people suggested me to post in both English and French. So I'll try to do so from now on.

As many other French cities, Grenoble has its little train to take tourists around town!
Do you also have one of these in your city?

I found this sign on the workings in the Paul Mistral's Park where a huge car park has been removed and replaced by grassy area.

But some people don't find this change to their liking!

Someone added a little yellow post-it saying "where are we going to park now?"
Another one worried about the parking problems that are supposed to be brought by the new stadium (located jut next to the Mistral's Park).
And a last one added the term "shitty" to discribe the stadium!

Well, in Grenoble we have a tiny street called Chemin Jésus. Apparently, it inspired comments from a few people.
One added that Jesus "is gay", and pro-choice people posted a sticker saying "Catholics : fascists, the Veil law (about abortion) is 30 years old, but we still have to stay vigilant".

I must say that the "Jesus is gay" statement made me laugh but the sticker saddened me. Pro-life people tend to scare me. I find it unsuitable that today, some people, in the name of archaic religious beliefs, still negate our individual freedom of choice as women.
Their is an infinity of different stories and I think that each one should be considered separately, and by the people involved in it only.
Well, that's my opinion.

This may not be a typical French breakfast, as I'm used to drinking tea instead of our traditional coffee. But you still have the baguette though!

It's also my Mum's birthday today, so I've decided to post a photo for the occasion on my other blog, just here.
